Founded in 1999, CVI is an independent, federally registered 501 (c)3 non-profit medical education organization, whose mission is to positively impact cardiovascular health in the Delaware Valley and beyond.
We work to achieve the goals and objectives of our mission by providing convenient access to top-quality, independent, non-biased continuing medical education for physicians, allied healthcare professionals and trainees.
Since its inception, CVI has organized hundreds of educational programs and conferences for tens of thousands of physicians, trainees and allied healthcare professionals.
CVI’S MISSION
CVI’s mission is to positively impact cardiovascular health in the Delaware Valley and beyond.
CVI works to achieve the goals and objectives of its mission by identifying, developing, and promoting educational activities focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and most importantly, the prevention of cardiovascular disease and other concomitant conditions.
CVI faculty includes internationally recognized thought leaders, and regional experts representing all of the area’s academic medical centers, and many of the region’s community hospitals and private practice settings.
With a keen eye and pulse on the field, CVI ensures that emergent and challenging topics are addressed as they develop. We regularly evaluate and refine our legacy programs as well as develop new novel programming based on interest, new learnings, and the needs of our attendees.
History
The CVI was founded by a group of local physicians, primarily cardiologists, who came together to discuss the lack of regional programming available for physicians, other healthcare professional, and patients on cardiovascular health. Incorporated in 1999 as a federally registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization, CVI began by offering continuing medical education, funding research, and offering community-based educational programs. Since its inception, CVI has organized and hosted hundreds of programs and conferences for physicians, trainees, and allied healthcare professionals.
Over the course of the past two decades, CVI has pursued collaborative relationships with other professional organizations, regional hospitals, universities, private practices, and industry partners where both sides embrace mutual goals and objectives.
