CVI CARDIOLOGY CLUB 2021

CVI’s Cardiology Club is a FREE virtual education and networking program for Medical Residents with an interest in exploring cardiology fellowship and careers in cardiovascular medicine. CVI’s Cardiology Club is designed to help you answer the question: So you really think you want to be a cardiologist? Our 1st session features a panel of recent fellows describing their experiences with the cardiology fellowship application process – and their 1st year of fellowship. Subsequent sessions include a medical resident presenting a patient case or journal article for discussion. Each session highlights a Cardiology Fellowship, featuring Cardiology Fellowship Directors from the Greater Philadelphia region. Sessions are designed for medical residents to ask questions of Cardiology Fellowship Directors. This year, Highlighted Fellowship Programs include:

  • Session 3: Main Line Health Lankenau
  • Session 4: Lehigh Valley Health Network

This year’s virtual format gives us the opportunity to highlight a topic each month beginning in April, 2021. The 60-90 minute sessions are free for interventional and general cardiology fellows.  Sessions are interactive, including fellow cases and didactic presentations, with ample opportunities for interaction through audience polling and Q&A. This first series of 6 programs features important topics in coronary and structural disease. Registrants have the opportunity to participate in the programs live or on-demand.

The purpose of our program is to provide a practical, focused, in-depth educational training experience for our next generation of cardiologists.

CVI’s Cardiology Boot Camp 2022

CVI’s Inaugural Cardiology Boot Camp is a FREE education program for 2022’s incoming class of new Cardiology Fellows, focusing on what every Cardiology Fellow needs to know during their first months of training.  We also welcome Internal Medicine Residents with an interest in CV medicine to join us for CVI’s Cardiology Boot Camp!  Core concepts in the diagnosis and management of patients with known or suspected cardiovascular disease will be highlighted focusing on:

  • General Clinical Cardiology
  • Echocardiography
  • ECG Interpretation/Arrhythmia Diagnosis and Management
  • Coronary Disease/Interventional Cardiology
  • Personal Wellness

CVI’s Cardiology Club

CVI Medical Residents Cardiology Club…

…is a regularly scheduled program for residents interested in cardiology. Virtual sessions are held through the fall and winter months, focusing on current trends in cardiovascular education, research, and career development.   Session starts with a resident case presentation followed by a faculty-directed discussion.  Programs offer residents career counseling and guidance, as well as the opportunity to learn more from Clinical Training Directors and current fellows about the current status of various cardiology fellowship programs throughout the region and beyond. CVI’s Medical Residents Cardiology Club offers participants with many opportunities to network with peers, fellows currently in training and Program Directors as they explore careers in cardiovascular medicine.
