This year’s agenda features an outstanding diverse faculty of national thought leaders, including our Keynote Presenters, Dr. Mark Drazner, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, will discuss updates to the heart failure guidelines and Dr. Kavita Sharma, Johns Hopkins University who will discuss new therapies for HFpEF.

Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to integrate advanced knowledge and innovative strategies into clinical practice for the management of complex cardiovascular conditions. Specifically, attendees will:
• Review the latest evidence-based guidelines for heart failure management, incorporating new pharmacological and non-pharmacological recommendations.
• Analyze hemodynamic profiles in heart failure patients to improve diagnostic accuracy and refine treatment strategies based on individualized patient needs.
• Describe the indications, benefits, and risks of emerging device technologies in heart failure management.
• Assess different electrophysiological approaches to managing heart failure, including shock therapy, pacing techniques, and ablation strategies, to optimize patient outcomes.
• Discuss the role of intravenous iron therapy in heart failure management, understanding its mechanisms, indications, and impact on patient prognosis.
• Develop strategies for optimizing diuretic therapy in patients with cardiorenal syndrome, balancing effective fluid management with renal function preservation.
• Review novel therapeutic options for heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF), evaluating their efficacy, safety profiles, and potential impact on patient outcomes.
• Examine the unique challenges and management strategies for peripartum cardiomyopathy, focusing on early recognition, diagnostic criteria, and appropriate treatment modalities.
• Differentiate between various types of cardiac amyloidosis, applying current diagnostic techniques and treatment options to improve patient care and outcomes.
• Develop integrated management plans for heart failure patients with common comorbidities, optimizing treatment strategies to improve overall patient health.
• Evaluate the latest advancements in structural interventions for valvular disease and heart failure, including transcatheter therapies and surgical options, to enhance patient outcomes.
